These official photos of Alfa Romeo's 8c Competizione have been roaming around the net for the past few hours revealing the form of the Italian sports coupe. It's been nearly 30 years after the last V8 powered (Montreal 1990-1997) and more than a decade from the last original, rear wheel drive Alfa (SZ & RZ 1989-1993). So you can understand how important this car is for only to Alfa Romeo.
Based on the homonymous prototype that was previewed in Coupe form in 2003 and as a Roadster later on, the rear wheel drive 8c Competizione hides its Maserati Coupe derived platform and V8 engine (upgraded to 4,7 litres from 4,2) under a sleek body reminiscent of Italian sports cars of the 50's. The only differences between the prototype and the production model seem to concern the door handles, the chromed window arch, the addition of a third bulb on the front lights and new alloys.
Although nothing certain yet, its rumoured that the 8c Competizione might make its world premiere at the
