Ford’s Love Factory: Start of Fiesta Production Celebrated with Plant Makeover

In case anyone had doubts that the Fiesta is the result of some serious love making, Ford decided to celebrate the start of production of its all-new subcompact hatchback at its Niehl plant in Cologne, Germany by transforming one of the sterile, grey industrial buildings into an automotive version of Charlie’s Chocolate Factory. The funky building with its bright coat of multi-colour paintwork now bears the nickname “Love Factory” and according to Ford, it will even be visible to anyone flying to or from Cologne. -Continued

Karl Anton, Niehl plant manager said: “Our workers have become so smitten with the new Ford Fiesta that we have decided to re-christen the plant the ‘Fiesta Love Factory’ and decorate it in celebration. We hope people will fall in love with the new Fiesta as much as we have!”
