2008 LA Show World Premieres Announced: Include Camry CNG and Sonata Hybrid Concepts

The organizers of the 2008 LA Auto Show have announced details on the production and concept vehicles that will be making their world debut in the "City of Angels". Altogether and unless we're in for a last minute surprise, the LA Show that opens its doors to the public on November 21 will host a total of 15 world premieres including the production Nissan 370Z, Infiniti G37 Convertible, all-electric MINI Cooper, 2010 Mazda 3 Sedan and Ford Mustang as well as a Toyota Camry Concept with a natural gas-hybrid system and a Hyundai Sonata Hybrid study.

We were expecting to see a VW roadster concept but word has it that the Germans chose to display the vehicle at the Detroit Salon in January 2009. It was also believed that Lexus was planning to unveil the third-generation RX SUV, but according to the show organizers, that's not going to happen. Then again, GM has officially announced that it will take the wraps off the 2010 Buick LaCrosse in LA (see here), but the vehicle is absent from the show list. Go figure...

As we've already told you and despite the rumors, the BMW Z4 production car will not make its world premiere in LA but in Detroit.

Other than that, the LA Show will see the North American debut of a few but significant production and concept cars such as the Honda Insight Hybrid, Lexus IS 250 Convertible, Ferrari California, Kia Soul Crossover, Mercedes-Benz FascinationConcept, Saab 9-X Air and the Lotus Evora sports car.
