According to the official spec-sheet that we discovered laying around Merc's site, Stuttgart's BMW M5 rival power is provided from AMG's 6.2-liter V8 engine that produces 514HP at 6,800 rpm and 630Nm or 464lbs/ft at 5,200 rpm.
Equipped with a seven-speed automatic transmission, the E63 AMG sedan accelerates from zero to 100km/h (62mph) in 4.5 seconds while its top speed is electronically limited to 250 km/h or 155mph. The E63 AMG Estate that will be launched towards the end of the year sprints from standstill to 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds or 0,1'' more than the sedan.
Other than that, the E63 gets the usual suspension and brake system upgrades along with an AMG bodykit and sporty interior trim. We'll have the full story as well as high-res photos on the E63 AMG as soon as the 'fair-play' folks over at Mercedes decided its time share their latest creation with the rest of the world (...).
