Michigan-based GM car tuner Specter Werkes will debut its latest take on the Corvette at next week's SEMA Show. The new model builds upon the Corvette C6 GTR that was launched in the beginning of the year. Based on the Corvette Z06, the new GTR features a 7.0-liter LS7 V8 engine with a Lingenfelter twin-turbo system for a total output of 800 horsepower. The car also gets StopTech STR brake package, featuring six-piston front calipers and four-piston rear calipers as well as Corsa exhaust system with GTR-specific exhaust tips.
In the looks department, the Corvette is finished in a BASF pearl paint and boasts a full aero kit with Matte-finish carbon fiber accents that is complemented by a matte black rear fascia and HRE carbon fiber wheels that weigh in at 22 lbs a piece and are wrapped around in Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 Zero Pressure rubber.
