Tuning Quickie: Oettinger's Volkswagen Amarok with 190HP

For Oettinger, tuning the Volkswagen Amarok 2.0 BiTDI didn't mean offering impressive exterior and interior modifications, neither insanely boosting the power, just simply rewriting some of the engine management software. But hey, it gets the job done.

The German pickup truck's diesel powertrain now delivers 190 hp, a 27 hp gain over the stock version. As for torque, the twin-turbocharged unit pushes out 430 Nm (317 lb-ft) at 1,500 rpm, and 450 Nm or 332 lb-f between 2,800-4,000 rpm.

Obviously, Oettinger's Amarok is also a tad faster accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 10.5 seconds (0.6 seconds faster than the factory model), and reaches a top speed of 187 km/h (116 mph).

The performance upgrade is available for €1,090.

VW Scirocco Coupe Tuned by Oettinger gets up to 350HP

European tuners are starting to warm up to the all-new Scirocco as the first examples of VW’s 3door coupe hit the streets. The latest proposal comes from Oettinger that has developed a subtle bodykit that consists of aero flaps for the front splitter, sill extensions and a rear diffuser that incorporates a new set of exhaust tailpipes. The kit is matched with a set of dark-colored lightweight 20-inch alloy wheels. Inside, the German tuning firm has spiced up the Scirocco with carbon-fiber trim accents, stainless steel kick plates, new floor mats and aluminium pedals. -Continued

Just like ABT (click here), Oettinger has fiddled around with the engine electronics raising the 1.4 TSI’s output from 160 to 200HP and the 2.0 TSI’s from 200 to 240HP. The German firm is also working on a specially tuned adjustable suspension and larger brakes along with a new kit that will boost the 2.0 TSI’s performance to 350HP and 470Nm. This power kit will be available by the end of the year.

Oettinger’s VW Golf GTI "Edition 30" 305Hp & 330Hp

VW tuning specialist Oettinger is offering two new upgrade kits for the anniversary Golf GTI “Edition 30”. €1.390 or $1.878 will get you the Stage I kit which boosts power from the stock 230Hp to 305Hp and a maximum torque figure of 400 Nm thanks to a new engine mapping which is loaded via Direct-Port-Tuning (Programming over the OBD-II port). Stage I GTI’s sprint from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 6.2 sec (stock: DSG 6.6 sec, Manual 6,8 sec) and the acceleration doesn’t stop until it reaches 252 km/h (158 mph).-Continued below

If you deposit €3.450 or $4.661 Oettinger will be happy to install the Stage II kit that includes a larger intercooler, modified intake tract and a carbon “ram air” intake. In addition, the engine also releases its waste gases via an Oettinger stainless steel sport exhaust system; this highly polished system consists of a rear and middle silencer. The result is a maximum output of 330 hp (DIN), 430 Nm (317 lb/ft) torque, 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 5.9 sec and a Vmax of 258 km/h (161 mph).

Following its Essen Show debut, German tuner Oettinger released more info and pics on its supped up Audi TT 2.0TFSi. Along with a tasteful and sleek bodykit that can be combined with 19, 20 or 22’’ rims, Oettinger offers two engine upgrades for the 2.0 TFSI boosting power up to 235 & 350 Hp respectively. PRESS RELEASE: As opposed to many others, at OETTINGER's in Friedrichsdorf they have not succumbed to the temptation of over-loading the new development of the Audi design star by adding the usual pretentious add-ons with air intakes widely ajar and huge spoiler-works supposed to enhance the impression of sportive power. The mirror-finished stainless-steel exhaust system with its sports-catalytic converter has its share, of course, just as the new reinforced clutch system and driving disk. Summing up: A valuation of the OETTINGER TT has the following most important figures to show: Acceleration 0 to 100 km/h in 5.6 seconds, and a top speed of about 270 km/h!
