Ford: Next Generation Euro Focus and C-Max, Kuga Siblings Coming to the U.S.

What made common sense to everyone apart from Ford execs will soon become a reality as Mark Fields, Ford president of the Americas, confirmed to Automotive News that like the new Fiesta (expected in the U.S. in 2010), the next generation European developed Focus will also be sold in the States.

Although Fields didn’t reveal when the new Focus will come to the U.S., industry forecasters believe that the next-generation model will begin to be assembled in the States in late 2010 or early 2011. This also means that the North American market will be able to get all the derivatives of the Euro Focus, aka the C-MAX minivan, the Focus Coupe-Cabriolet and the Kuga compact crossover (pictured above). That isn’t possible now due to the fact that the current model sold in the U.S. is based on the previous generation Focus platform.
