PETA to Chrysler: Ease Rules on Leather Shoes...

People are losing their jobs, homes and savings; the world economy is going berserk; Chrysler has been sold and bought by the newspapers more times than we can count and what do those busy folks at PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) do? They send a letter to Chrysler CEO Bob Nardelli informing him that the automaker should ease footwear rules at its factories after a recent memo was posted at the Los Angeles parts depot reminding workers to wear appropriate shoes for safety reasons. -Continued

The memo that was sent by PETA corporate affairs director Matt Prescott said that Chrysler should allow workers to wear shoes or boots made from any of the rugged, safe leather alternatives that exist today. Commenting on the letter, Chrysler spokesman Mike Palese said, "It is a safety issue. We were just re-articulating that, in order to get the folks working there moving in the right direction for their own benefit."

What can we say other than that some people really need to get a grasp of reality and start spending their time and efforts with things that really count and make a difference instead of trying to find ways to justify their position. (Picture: Carscoop)
