GPS Company Says People's No.1 Destination is Wal-Mart, Skynet Takes Note

It must have been a slow news day, because mega-newspaper The New York Times has done a report on popular destinations according to GPS searches (and no, it's not my mom's house).

According to TeleNav, a company whose navigation apps you probably use - I know I do - and can be found on just about any cell phone out there, it's been tracking people all over.

Anyone care to guess what Americans' top destination was? If you said Wal-Mart, you'd be right. Second was the world's coffee shop, Starbucks. God how I hate them and their absurdly-named coffees and sizes. JUST GIVE ME A MEDIUM COFFEE, BLACK.

Here's how TeleNav tracks you:

"To use most mobile services, information (including the device's location) is sent from an owner's handset to computers where the queries are received and then the answers are sent back to the device. Records of all those requests are stored, which is how TeleNav and others gain information and insights into how their services are used (and hopefully how they can be improved)."

"Improved"...right. More like finding a way to help future Terminators wipe out the human race while we're all out for overpriced frappuccinos and cheap kitchenware.
